The Location
The moment you step off the plane you instantly feel the cool sexy vibes of Jamaica. The seduction begins with the tropical aroma and the melodic voices that resonates through your body. The exotic and erotic journey of the senses continue with the ride to Negril as the warm tropical sea breeze caresses your face, and the sights of the harvest of exotic fruits such as sugar apples, mangoes, and sugar cane along the road side will wet your tastebuds. Meanwhile, the lingering caribbean beat will please your ears and kindles your soul. The passing view of the sea is a hint of the wetness you'll feel as the sunny, luscious island of Jamaica penetrates you. As you walk through the gates of the Negril Yoga Center you will hear a soothing and mysterious whisper that says .....Welcome home! Now your playful inner child can be free and your soul will be cared for.

Accommodations
The Negril Yoga Center is a seaside hideaway on the west tip of the Island. Unlike the popular commerical spots, here you can put space between yourself and the rest of the world. Here you can expect a serving of the culture and traditions of Jamaica coupled with a soulful yogi lifestyle. This tropical oasis is nestled in a botanical garden with trails that lead to little discoveries such as your room or the floral and fauna that laces these retreat grounds.

With a variety of beautiful flowers and exotic birds, your eyes will not be short of new sights and your senses will not be out of harmony with nature's rhythm. Each day a natural breakfast or vegetarian dinner is served in nature's very own dining room with shades of palm trees.

Activities/Yoga
Each morning you can rise to a daily dose of Soulfull Yoga and mediation, enhanced with drumming. During the day you can meander the beaches and dive the Caribbean sea for a live motion picture of the graceful underwater life of tropical fish and sea life of all colors, shapes and sizes. Topped with drumming by the ocean side with Kristen Aran - Drum Lady DC. Of course this tropical island vacation comes with the great night life of Jamaica. You can dance on the beach with some of Jamaica's most popular and local reggae stars. As well, enjoy a variety of tasty curried, jerk or smoked flavors by the beach side or at one of the charming restaurants.

And in between you can meditate, take a siesta, write, do nothing or stretch out and practice in the open-air pavillion at the yoga center. What ever appeals to your nature!.

Excursions
If you are interested in exploring Jamaica at your leisure, then let us know so. We will have our own van if you're interested in optional excurions (at an additional charge) such as a sunset cruise, cliff diving, a Black River Safari or horseback riding

KRISTEN ARANT
Kristen Arant is a performing artist, drummer and drum instructor living in Washington, DC. She is a co-founder of the activist drumming group Rhythm Workers Union, and a drum workshop leader for children and the elderly through PANORAMA Community Arts Initiative. An advocate for women's and girls' empowerment, Kristen has provided anti-aggression drumming workshops for the Young Women's Project, has performed with two regional all-women's drumming groups, and is the founder of the Young Women's Drumming Empowerment Project - a drumming, poetry and performance art empowerment group designed to build the confidence and self esteem of teenaged girls living in DC. Kristen holds bachelor's degrees in both music and women studies.

The Price
Your price of $695 per person, double, or $995 per person, single, accommodation for four nights; three meals daily, excluding travel days; daily Soulfull yoga classes and use of all facilities; all transportation and applicable taxes. For those who do not wish to participate in the daily group yoga classes, the price is $575 per person, double, or $875 per person, single.

Since the trip begins on a Thursday and on a Monday, you may wish to extend your Jamaican vacation. Therefore, airfare is not included.

A deposit of $150 is due before June 30th to secure your place on the retreat. Final payment is due no later than August 31. Deposits are 50% refundable up to 60 days before departure.
