In the heart of San José, Ecuador, an educational Business Program has a lasting impact on an entire community.
The first class of the 360° Business Academy focused on marketing skills designed to to empower participants with the tools needed to thrive in the competitive tourist business landscape.
One of many remarkable aspects of the first class was the 100% graduation rate.
As a reward for their dedication, graduates received a re-payable grant to implement the marketing plans they developed during the class, providing a tangible boost to their businesses.
During the class, the students' realized the collective power they possessed. Rather than focusing solely on their individual enterprises, the graduates recognized the value of cooperation. They pooled resources and newly-learned expertise to implement strategies aimed at marketing the entire community, understanding that a rising tide lifts all boats.
The class instilled in its students the positive impact collaboration can have on a community's economic landscape. By working together, these entrepreneurs maximized their impact, creating a ripple effect that reached far beyond the confines of their own businesses.
The success of the pilot business education class in San Jose goes beyond the acquisition of marketing skills. It serves as a testament to the transformative power of education and collaboration.
Cabaña owner, Yajaira, demonstrated her new marketing skills by creating an appealing storefront.
